THE FOUNDER
Meet Gabriela
Gabriela Ardila is a licensed cosmetologist and massage therapist.
She began practicing massage and alternative healing in 1998. She is a certified Traditional Chinese Medicine and Energy Balancing specialist after following her father’s footsteps as a Naturopath for over 25 years. Her extensive experience in the healing arts of Alternative/Holistic Therapies has given her an opportunity to travel nationally and internationally and work with many different organizations.
Gabriela is passionate about nutrition, wellness, and has a vision for seeing people feel and look their best. She founded Evoluzion Alternative Health to dedicate her life to improving the lives of others.

OUR HISTORY
Where it all began.
Evoluzion Alternative Health was officially established in 2009, but the vision was in the making long before then.
When I was young, my parents started a cosmetology school and salons from the ground-up around the Chicagoland area. My father was a Naturopath and I spent my childhood subconsciously absorbing his care for nutrition and the body.
In 1999, my father was diagnosed with severe Rheumatoid Arthritis. With a desire to treat him, I went to massage school. Through school I hoped to gain knowledge to expand my family’s cosmetology businesses through skincare and spa.
A few twists & turns along the way.
Life doesn’t always follow a linear path, and it threw some curveballs at me.
After graduating from college with the excitement of starting a business, my family voiced their opinions. They didn’t believe that as a woman I was a viable business owner. I was instructed to follow the rules of my family and my duties as a woman: get married, follow my husband, have children - you get the point.
Although my goal was to take over the family business, as any “good” daughter does, I let go of my dreams to do what my parents wanted and to maintain my relationship with them.
But my dreams didn’t stop there.
I still had the desire to start my own business. So I decided that I would do it solo, on my own terms.
Evoluzion was created in 2009, with $200. I was a single mom of a 5-year old, a full-time student studying for my second Bachelor’s Degree, with an insatiable desire to build the business of my dreams.
15 years later, Evoluzion is thriving.
Evoluzion has served thousands of people over the years - and my dreams of helping people feel their best are coming true. Evoluzion is still committed to improving the lives of individuals, and I’m excited to see how the journey continues.
THE NAME
Evo-luz-ion
NOUN
The process by which the physical, mental, and emotional bodies are developed into a more conscious and aware form.
THE roots
Evol
Inverse of “love”. When the positive and negative of love are brought together (positive pole to negative pole) there is instant force pulling the two magnets together creating unpenetrable strength.
Luz
Spanish for “light”. A natural agent that makes things visible. Bringing illumination and awareness to causes under the surface unseen to the naked eye.
Ion
Negative Ions produce biochemical reactions by increasing levels of mood, chemical serotonin, to help alleviate depression, relieve stress and boost energy.
